What is Reiki?
Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-intrusive hands-on healing technique used to activate the natural healing processes of the body and restore physical and emotional well-being.
Reiki was developed (or re-discovered) during the latter half of the 19th century in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui. Reiki is Japanese for 'universal life force energy' and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing.
Today Reiki is a Group 2 complementary therapy as stated in the House of Lords published report of 2000. It is increasingly used in healthcare alongside conventional or complementary treatments and often helps during recovery.
This healing art is taught by Reiki masters/teachers who have trained in the tradition passed on in person from master to student.

The treatment normally takes around 1hr . A Reiki practitioner is not trained in diagnosis and will not

How much Reiki do I need?
A Reiki treatment is a process and it depends of the client's needs. It is always best to discuss this with the practitioner. For long standing issues, a series of sessions may be beneficial, otherwise a single session may be enough.
